El Pescador, Punta Gorda, is recognized as a world class angling destination. Due to our proximity to the marine areas of Punta Icacos, Wild Cane Cayes, Snake Caye, Punta Negra and the hundreds of tiny islands which encompass we are also able to snorkel and explore numerous other areas for Manatee, birds and a wide variety of flora and fauna.
Our Nature Preserve at El Pescador Punta Gorda is host to numerous nature and cultural adventures including nature trails, a river and two streams, foothills and mountains, abundant birds, colorful butterflies and exotic wildlife, old-growth Rain forest and a Mayan burial site.

Our family-run resort encompasses 470 acres nestled in coastal mountains and Rain forest along 1.5 miles of the Rio Grande, offering world-class birding, hiking, and Mayan exploration.
The clear blue river offers fabulous canoeing, swift and easy access to the Flats and Cayes of the Caribbean Sea 20 minutes downstream.
Our panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and Rain forest canopy are awe-inspiring. It is the perfect place to enjoy stories of adventure while sipping fresh fruit drinks at our mountain-top bar and restaurant. High above the jungle while resting comfortably at the Lodge, one can look east and see Honduras and Guatemala across the Caribbean Sea or turn westward to the majestic Maya Mountains of Belize.

Package includes:
The number of nights lodging and days fishing specified in your package, round trip land and air transfers between Belize City and El Pescador, 7% hotel tax, sales tax where applicable, 3 meals per day, local Belizean beverages (including soda, beer and rum), complimentary use of all amenities (tram, pool, internet, canoe, bikes, etc) and a welcome drink.
Reservation Policy:
A non-refundable deposit of 50% per person is required to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guideswill be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due at El Pescador 90 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy::
All cancellations must be received in writing at the lodge. Prior to 90 days 100% of deposit may be transferred to anotherdate/angler. Between 45 – 90 days 50% of package may be transferred to another date or angler. Less than 45 days may not be transferred or refunded. All cancellations have a $100 processing fee per guest.
Fishing and Diving:
Fishing includes either 1 or 2 anglers per boat for 8 consecutive hours. No fishing gear is included. The above dive rates are based on 2 tanks daily with a minimum of 2 divers per dive. Rates include tanks, weights and weight belt.
All Prices are per person and quoted in US dollars. We accept BZ cash, US cash, US travelers checks, Visa and Master Card. Credit card slips are written in Belize dollars using the exchange rate of US$1 = BZ $2.07.

Whether Fly or Spin fishing is your game, the availability of permit, seasonal tarpon, snook and bonefish make Southern Belize an exceptional fishing opportunity all 12 months of the year. Reservation Policy:
A non-refundable 10% deposit with the Tropical Travel Association is required in order to confirm your reservation. The 90% balance is due to the hotel upon arrival. In special circumstances El Pescador Punta Gorda has the right to apply additional requirements as long as they do so before the 10% deposit is paid.
Of Special Note:
Spending a long travel day at the reef chasing bonefish, heading up one of many jungle rivers hunting tarpon or snook and hitting the lagoon and flats for Permit is all apart of El Pescador, Punta Gorda!

We are located in the undiscovered paradise of the Toledo District in southern Belize. While we offer an elegant Rain forest experience in a secluded region, we are conveniently located 1 hour by air from Belize City and five miles by road north of Punta Gorda Town.
